Let's bring on Spring Break! I'm celebrating with all my blogging buddies wit this month's Currently. Thanks to Farley for hosting!
Listening: Once upon a snow day, I was surfing Netflix and found Friends. Now, I knew the general plot line and had watched episodes here and there, but I had never seen the entire series. So I started watching, and (pardon me if I'm late to the party) THIS SHOW IS HILARIOUS!!!!! Ten seasons and many afternoons of binge-watching later, I'm almost done. Sigh. So bittersweet.
Loving: SPRING BREAK! Enough said!
Thinking: I don't often slow down enough to really think about what this day means. I'm so thankful to Jesus who died on a cross in order to save humanity. Below is one of my all time favorite songs, and it's especially powerful today. The video is a little graphic, so click with caution.
Wanting: Well, after talking about Jesus' death, it doesn't seem quite appropriate to talk about how much I want some Reeces eggs. Awkward. But delicious.
Needing: I thought and thought and thought about what I need, but I'm thankful to be pretty content right now. Yay! =)
EGGS-plain: My all-time favorite children's book is Mo Willem's Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus. My blog name is a tribute to the line "PIGEON AT THE WHEEL!!!!!!" because it just makes me laugh every time I hear it!
Happy Easter!!!
Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus is always a big hit with the kids. The animated versions are pretty entertaining too. Love the name tribute!
ReplyDeleteNow after reading your post I want some chocolate eggs too :)

I am a fellow ATL teacher! Your Currently is so sweet... I know it's hard to mention candy after Christ! And I love that you don't need anything know... I understand! There is much to be content for, even in times of trials.
ReplyDeleteAnd Friends... girl! You ARE late to the party. I own all DVDs. It's been my favorite for years! I hope you keep enjoying them. They just get better with each season.
Ha! I read your "Reeces Eggs" as "Recess Eggs" and thought what in the world are those?? I was about to check out a new product! Joke's on me!
ReplyDeleteSee you around, Amanda! Kathleen Kidpeople Classroom
I still haven't watched more than a couple episodes of Friends. Maybe over the summer! I love your blog title! Have a great spring break, and Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteDon't Let the Teacher Stay Up Late
I watched Friends when it was originally on and I watched all the reruns on TV and I still had to watch the entire series on Netflix. My all time favourite show! I'm just finishing up the last season now. :)
